I’m not yet at the point of wishing polio or pertussis in the families of fanatic antivaxxers (those who oppose vaccination in general, not just the currently used schedules) - but I’m getting closer to that point every day.

You realize that pertussis has mutated around the strain used in the vaccines:

“Our results underline the importance of Ptx in transmission, suggest that vaccination may select for increased virulence, and indicate ways to control pertussis more effectively.”

I currently know of 5 families whose kids are completely unvaccinated. 4 of those are the children of MD’s.

10+ years ago I didn’t know of any anti-vax MD’s. I know of 5 now, 4 of those with kids young enough to be subject to the schedule.

Those that forget history are doomed to repeat it.

They forget that even the measles were a major killer just a few years ago, yet, they petition everyone not to get the measles vaccine now.

It is just plain mean that they got past various diseases years ago but demand everyone else take chances with their children and lives now.
