It’s confirmed, then, that something has been detected. Some kind of signal at 37.5 hz. What it is, we don’t know for sure.

follow-on article from the Guardian. Coordinates are “about 25 degrees south and 101 degrees east” and a result of refinement of satellite data calculating the flight path. The depth of the area is “four and a half kilometres straight down”

They just showed on the news the device that the Chinese are using as a ping detector —

It’s a handheld low tech device that extends at most a foot deep into the water.

No one’s rushing to check this newest Chinese ping out —

Am I mistaken or is the Chinese ping area appear to be short of the 811 Ping line.

I just heard that the search area has just been adjusted again to now include the Chinese pings.
