It starts in First Grade, when those with greater ability must work in groups to drag the dull students along. The children whose parents care, bring school supplies on the first day of school each year. They are dumped into the common supply stash to be used by all the students. This continues throughout a child’s public education. Group think rules. Individual achievement is discouraged….except on the basketball court or football field.

Obama learned well from the exploits of FDR. Use an economic storm to enhance the role of government in ways that cannot easily be reversed. Once a bureaucracy is born, regardless of the intentions, it grows like a cancer constantly attempting to extend its reach in order to justify its existance.
