Appearing on Fusion's "AMERICA with Jorge Ramos" Thursday night, HBO's “Real Time” host Bill Maher slammed "insane" Republicans for what he perceives as a sick love of guns.
“Of course, I think the Republicans are insane about guns, because they love guns, which is a sick position to have in the first place, to love something like a gun? I don’t love my gun, I have it the way I have, you know, antibiotics. It’s not something I love, it’s something in case of an emergency that I might have to use.”
“One party loves guns and one party likes guns a lot.”

Most people who own guns do so for the same reason Maher does, protection. Conservatives as a whole do not “love” their guns.

Actually, gun rights are one of the few most bi-partisan issues today. A very large percentage of Democrats support what republicans support.
This just proves how detached from reality Marxists like Maher are.
Normally, having a gun and pointing out that guns are tools that could be necessary would get one labeled as republican, insane, and sick.
I'm off to Snopes to see if Maher actually DID say he had a gun.
