When America captures real scientific and technological talent, it benefits. Just ask those that knew Wernher Von Braun and his cadre of engineers.

We don't need an H-1B program to get people like von Braun. There has always been an exception made for highly-qualified people, not just in the US, but in any country in the world. This is how Gerard Depardieu obtained Russian citizenship. The H-1B program has vacuumed in millions of unexceptional individuals whose primary contribution is that they help lower the wage bills of Silicon Valley firms.

Not just Silicon Valley. It affects every tech position in every state.

Jobs done by Americans at $75/hr are suddenly dropping to $30.

You’re right and you’re wrong. The low skill tech workers for Silicon Valley are not what Cruz is considering. He’s too smart to fall for that crap.

Cruz is after the creme de la creme of the rest of the world. Bringing these people to America keeps the USA in the lead and denies competitors an edge. If there are 10 million highly gifted and talented scientists and technologists in the world and 5 million live in the USA, we want a good portion of all the rest.

Talent is a resource. We want to corner the market on brains. It’s not complicated.

Cruz is too smart to allow tech workers who are qualified only to pack software in boxes or work in a call center to enter the USA. He wants the real talent. The universities of the world and the corporate research think tanks know where the talent is. This talent is what Cruz will consider.

But America has to be attractive to recruit top talent. With Obama in power and his idiotic social policies and 24/7 homosexual promotion, American has the image of Detroit to a lot of the real talent we need.

So we need Cruz in the Oval Office to restore American exceptionalism and to restore the attractiveness of the USA to the top talents of the world.
