I would like to think that pangs of guilt would kick in and that is why they off themselves.

But then, why don’t the pangs of guilt kick in after the first murder? or the third? or the ninth?

The Columbine shooters were young, and they offed themselves too.Adam Lanza executed 20 little kids and six adults. He sees a cop and decides to shoot himself?

To me, I find that these mass murderers should have a sudden attack of conscience to be nonsensical, meaning without sense. A minute before, they were executing people, now they feel they should execute themselves?

Again, I agree with you. They haven't had a change of heart or a moment of repentance - you are absolutely right.

Suicide is a method of denying the survivors justice. It is a way to rob society of its power to punish. It is an assertion of control. It is not a sign of remorse. It is a sign of defiance.
