"guns automatically goes off"
Guns generally don't go off automatically.

Rosie O’Donuts has freely, openly, admitted that both she and “her” children are protected by men who pack heat.Ten bucks says that Costas and/or people in his employ pack heat as well.

LOL and we’ll let Bob’s very liberal friends in the media keep a tally.

“Athletes” (I assume he’s talking professional level) is a very very bad population to be basing a morality bet on.
I’d say he’s guaranteed to win the bet.
Why don’t we try it with a more civilized population group?

Why would you limit it to group that has a large contingent of thugs?

Do we even have to tell this freaking idiot that nobody in the media reports on the hundreds and hundreds of athletes who own guns and never, ever have an issue with them?

Many pro athletes are thugs. What does the number of negative stories about law breaking thugs prove? Bob Costas sucks. He can stick his metro sexual opinions where the sun doesn’t shine.

Costas said. Lets make a bet, you and me. Lets say over the next five years well do a Google search. Well have an independent party monitor it. You keep track of how many good and constructive things are associated with athletes having a gun, and Ill keep track of all the tragedies and criminality and folly. And lets see who comes out ahead or behind as the case may be. Hey, Bob, let's make another bet. I'll bet you that the liberal legacy media which you represent will report the way you believe on gun control more times than not and we'll see who comes out ahead or behind as the case may be."
Do you honestly think we're so stupid as to accept debate on the terms you propose? Media will not report positively on guns and they will not write to prove a negative as you ask regarding 'constructive things regarding athletes with guns'.
No sale. Now sit down, and report scores like you're supposed to.

I’ll make a wager with Costas. He can monitor all the athlete tragedies and I’ll monitor all the card carrying NRA members involved in criminal shootings. Bet his number is exponentially higher.

I think Bob would have a point if he were advocating for guns to be banned for all athletes.
But that’s not what he’s advocating.

The fact that he automatically skews that bet in his favor by ONLY tracking athletes instead of ALL Americans is quite telling.

You keep track of how many good and constructive things are associated with athletes having a gun... He knows he already lost the bet going in unless he adds quantifiers or constraints that were not a part of his original rant.
