The VA in the United States is a government run healthcare system just like NHS in England with its scandalous lack of service to patients that has led to deaths.
Better healthcare for veterans would equal private healthcare for veterans.
My father has received care at VA hospitals in CA, TX, KS, AL, TN, VA, and MD and the only place he had less than stellar care was in Baltimore, MD which is famous for its bad service because of lousy leadership and an entitled nurse corps. He LOVES the care and respect he gets and says one bad apple shouldn’t ruin the bunch!
You are absolutely right. The NHS and the VA here are what the whole US healthcare apparatus will look like once the full effects of Obamacare are realized.
