I smoked while I served. Never was an issue.
A lot of my pals never smoked until they were deployed. They all did an absolutely excellent job doing what they did.
Are you in favor of our heroes doing their jobs while suffering the forced prohibition of nicotine, and the increased distractions that it causes?
Possibly making them less effective while performing their constitutional duties just so you can feel better about yourself and your coveted control over their lives?

Cigarette smoking diminishes fitness. It’s common sense that we should want our troops to be as fit as possible.

Smoking was banned below deck on all Navy ships in 2010.

Before that our heroes were having to breath second hand smoke inside enclosed places like ships and submarines, due to inconsiderate ass-holes who have no regard for their own bodies, much less that of their ship mates.
