Tweet fromJon Williams ABC News 2m Kremlin says Putin drew Obamas attention to continued impunity of extremists intimidating civilians & others in Kiev & elesewhere
So basically Putin was calling Obama and telling him why those 100,000 troops are on the Ukrainian border...and will move in soon. He may even announce during or after the entry that he advised Obama of his plans in this very call.
I heard a clip from an interview Obama did with some talking news head yesterday. The monotone and the continual "uh"s while he thought of his next bit of blather. I can just imagine what he sounded like on the phone with Putin. All one has to do sometimes is ignore the speaker and concentrate on their tone to truly assess them.

You’ll note the conflict between what the White House is saying about the call, and what the Kremlin is??
The US readout of the call does not mention Transnistria, and instead has a demand that Russia pull out of Crimea.
I get the feeling the reality was far different than the spin. The White House output makes it sound like Obama “got tough” on Putin. The Kremlin releases say something different.

Probably told Obama the 100,000 Russian troops will move in soon if Kiev, the EU and Obama don't agree to allow a process for secession votes in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
