Well, considering the fact that people in Crimea are dying, and that it was annexed, and that an American “celebrity” has public voiced his support for these actions - I would have to say that “whatever” is the Understatement of the Day.

Sambo (self defense without weapons) is really neat stuff. Sensei Michael Galperin is the exponent of it in the northeast and he is teaching the techniques to policemen.
As for Steven Segal's touting of Sambo, I have always likened Sambo to a Russian form of aikido and Segal had an aikido dojo in Japan.
