i highly recommend reading this article. my husband and i found it simply amazing and forwarded it to everyone we know with any nexus to autism. I will buy the book when it comes out. yes, it's the NYtimes and yes, the author is a lib, but this issue crosses all partisan lines. It is extremely well written and very touching.

I have read part of that article ... and I think to myself ... “What goes on inside his head?” ... which is exactly the same thing I say here, at home. I’m constantly trying to figure out, “What goes on in his head,” while at the same time, letting him be who he wants to be.
