I am with you on that deal. I wouldn't say it is the worst but still not a great area for someone to be in after dark. I live by the new Latitudes store on Westside and 528 and we don't have much worry here.

The cops did the right thing. If the guy complied with the officers he would be in jail and not dead. His record is no different than the others who met the same fate. I wish it wasn't the case that these guys end up dead like this but the officers have families to go home to. Life is full of choices and if you choose a life like Redwine's this is the result. It could have been the result of an illegal business transaction just as easy.

I live in Cabezon. Just ran for City Council (lost) and got to talk with lots of Rio Rancho cops. They don ‘t particularly care for ABQ officers. Rio Rancho has a very low crime rate. Feel very safe here.
