World leaders played an interactive nuclear war game designed to test their responses to a terrorist atomic "dirty bomb" attack that threatened the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.
David Cameron joined Barack Obama, Angela Merkel and Xi Jinping and other world leaders to play a "nukes on the loose" war game to see how they would cope with a terrorist nuclear attack.
The German chancellor grumbled at being asked to play games and take tests with the Prime Minister, US and Chinese presidents around a table with dozens of heads of state at a nuclear summit in The Hague.
Her complaints were overruled because Mr Obama was keen on the idea and in on the surprise.
In the war game, played out by actors in a series of short films, a terrorist attack with an atomic "dirty bomb" takes place in the financial heart of an unnamed but Western metropolis. "It could be the City of London, or Wall Street, Milan or anywhere", summit leaders were told.
As the scenario unfolded, it emerged that the terrorists are from an unidentified global terror network and they have stolen nuclear material from an unidentified country that had poorly secured its radiological and nuclear stockpiles.

this is true... we could do well with a lot more respect going both ways.
Yes, both sides need to recognize the truth.
....”I wish we could leave homosexuality out of the conversation”......
Well, It is the one item all world leaders seem to be focused on and agree on...imagine that when the world faces what it does, that THIS is the item they agree on?
The homosexual community may be small, but they are powerful for what supports and drives them.

Yes. Was in Gulf War I as an ALO, saw first-hand how effective his the five-ring CoG strategic targeting strategy worked.
We worked with the RAF Air Warfare Centre in the UK. Good times.
While I was there we served as the host to the USAF RAF exchange talks so got to meet a number of folks such as Tony Mason that went on to be senior leaders in RAF. We also served as consultants to the Warrior Prep Center at Einsiedlerhof. I was in Checkmate when we did the 31 Initiatives between AF and Army. Joe Redden led that effort with Lance Smith helping.
We did the yearly swap thing with the RAF AWC. First they were at RAF Bentley-Priory and then moved to the Thompson Building at RAF Waddington.
Air Commodore Harwood is a good guy, always took good care of us. . .and we them when they made their US visit.
Took them on a tour of the White House.
Had a friend that was the USAF mil aide to Gore. The tour started at 1930hrs and he escorted us around then all of a sudden there was a lot of commotion and we were hustled into a narrow long closet and told to hush, to not make a sound. All of use were in there, too include a Royal Navy Captain, an RAF Group Captain and an RAF Air Commodore, huddled in a closet, silenced and wondering what was going on.
We heard muffled voices and soft steps going by and then shortly thereafter were allowed out. We asked, ‘What the he**?”
We were then told it was the Hidebeast. She was walking from the East Wing to the West Wing and she had a policy that she was not to see ANYONE or HEAR anyone when she walked the halls of the White House. Therefore when she was on the move the Secret Service went into over-drive to clear the hallways.
Welcome to the states, our dearest allies, and here is the inside of a West Wing closet.
Embarrassing.
Oh, and we met Lance during our visits to Maxwell.
Great story, thanks.
“Obama would rather have played golf . . . . “
Let me get this straight. Wasn’t this the same guy that had to be pulled off of a golf course to come in and watch Osama Bin Laden taken down?
Yeah. And he was playing cards while Benghazi happened.
