I hate to break this to you but, Israel is very much a socialist country. It's founders were extreme leftists. Golda Meir sounded a great deal like Hillary Clinton when she was a young woman.
Socialized medicine, managed economy, regulations on everything. The old joke is:
"How do you make a small fortune? -Take a large fortune to Israel.

I know and when it slips toward communism, which happens to socialist countries, the people will continue whining.
