Context is everything. A man was casting out demons. There was no “offense” against Jesus in this verse but the Apostles thought their rights and privileges were being usurped by the man and He corrected them. Matt 12:30 is speaking to offenses against Jesus.
You struck at the heart of the difference in the two. One said “Me” and the other said “you”. And you reminded me of the context that brings much deeper meaning to the two verses that, although is clear once one thinks about it, is lost if one is focused merely on the literal translation of the words.

And no, this was not a setup. I’ve never really studied the two verses together in any real sense. I’ve just been aware of them in passing and they seemed to contradict each other. But as you pointed out, they don’t because they are not talking about the same thing.
