A sex abuse survivor is on a mission that shes under taking one step at a time.
On Wednesday, Lauren Book started her four-day walk through Miami. The walk is part of her annual 15-hundred Walk in My Shoes journey....
Book was just ten years old when someone she loved and trusted, her nanny Waldeana Florez, began sexually and physically abusing her. She endured the abuse for six years before she was finally able to break away.

For a long time media burried stories of sexual abuse of children period.
The belief the public had was that this was rare.
Then in the eighties, the Meese commission engineered the release of stories regarding huge caches of child pornography being distributed through computer bulletin boards. Hundreds of thousands of children worldwide. Part of the press reported on it. The lid was blown off.
The press still avoids reporting homosexual abuse. And abuse where the pedophiles are female.
The media always hides stories of homosexual abuse. I read this girls book. She also said that her father worked a lot, and her mother was depressed and “.out to lunch”. This happened right under her mother’s nose. As a mother that is scary to me.
She should stay off streets named Martin Luther King Boulevard, and avoid guys named Trayvon.
