It was in 1967 that the popular music scene bifurcated, with the AM play lists being slowly taken over by teeny boppers with their bubble gum music, while their older brothers and sisters were toking up and listening to the new FM format known as Progressive Rock. This is an example of what AM radio was to become. (Dear Lord!)
The team of Jerry Kasanetz and Jeff Katz produced the bubble gum at Buddah Records, a label with mob ties. This was a huge hit for them.
