And dont float adoption as an answer. Adoption? F**k you, seriously. I am not turning my body over for nine months of gaining weight and puking and being tired and suffering and not being able to sleep on my side and going to the hospital for a bout of misery and pain so that some couple I dont know and probably dont even like can have a baby. I dont owe that couple a free couch to sleep on while they come to my city to check out the local orphans, so I sure as shit dont own them my body. I like drinking alcohol and eating soft cheese. I like not having a giant growth protruding out of my stomach. I hate hospitals and like not having stretch marks. We dont even force men to donate sperma largely pleasurable activity with no physical costso forcing women to donate babies is reprehensible.
This is why, if my birth control fails, I am totally having an abortion. Given the choice between living my life how I please and having my body within my control and the fate of a lentil-sized, brainless embryo that has half a chance of dying on its own anyway, I choose me. Heres another uncomfortable fact for anti-choicers: Just because a woman does want children doesnt mean she wants them now. Maybe shes still got some fun-having to do. Or maybe she has a couple already and, already well-educated about the smelly neediness of babies, feels done with having them. Either way, what she wants trumps the non-existent desires of a mindless pre-person that is so small it can be removed in about two minutes during an outpatient procedure. Your cavities fight harder to stay in place.

Second:
This is why, if my birth control fails, I am totally having an abortion.
I increasingly see contraception as nothing more than preemptive abortion. The contraception mentality and the abortion mentality seem to me to be identical.
He's now 21 yo. I could go on about him being a brilliant overachiever headed for medical school etc ... but I won't. That would be false. He's thoroughly average, something of a slacker ... and yet, killing him in utero would still have been a heinous wrong, a grave evil, an unspeakable error. The family would be the poorer without him. His right to live, to succeed or fail, to love God and go to heaven having lived a full life ... these are unalienable and undeniable. The author of this screed would have slain him before he ever had a chance to breathe air.
Ah ease up...poor thing just doesnt want to be punished with a baby. Now where did we hear that phrase before?
That phrase wasn't original with zero either. It's been part of the general folklore of the left for a long time.
