Prime Minister Tony Abbott has announced objects possibly related to the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines plane have been found in the southern Indian Ocean.
Wire fire
It is a 200 ER?
On a different note it would have been nice if Australia had put this much effort into finding HMAS Sydney and 600 crewmen.
Appeared to me it was just slightly outside the predicted maximum range arc.
Probably wasn’t “flown” by any live humans. They were either dead or unconscious... we’ll know, hopefully, when they pull the data recorder and cockpit voice recorders.
If this the wreck, it’s pretty much a confirmation of two theories:
(1) on board rolling system collapse, which pilot and co attempted to correct for, but died in process.
(2) Elaborate suicide.
Occam’s Razor tells me to put my money on #1.
The large piece could be a wing or part of the fuselage.
Any one have a map showing the current flow for this area?
Thanks for that information.
Just searched and every result shows this plane as 200ER.
Are you talking about the Phuket tsunami? No way would you expect Japanese tsunami debris in that area. Either one really; weak current comes from the west in the chart I saw.
exactly that happen to me. I was an Export Coordinator and one of the food product which was Frozen Potatoes. The container slipped into the Pacific Ocean during a nasty storm. I assume they did not secure the container and as the ship kept rocking the container kept sliding until “plop”.
Lot of odds things in the sea. Things drift for years, especially after tsunamis. The Indian ocean was the site of a rather large one ten years ago.
Anybody else see the earlier reports that Indonesia has been less than forthcoming with their radar data, namely info about the aircraft’s southern turn?
please tell me your search engine... i google it and get mostly 200ER, some 300 and a few 300ER! Of course, all are very authoritative.
#1. = 2 heroes
For their families pray this is the finding
Other evening a freeper extended the line of the flight after turn and figured they would head toward GAN. I’d hoped they made it to a relative unused WWII airport that serviced a spa resort called Shangra La.
If we extend that line we will find where they touched down. —soft landing would not tear up the plane much. Think Sully!
Could you please explain what this is? I don't know what it is.
I Google Malaysian 777 type and get 200 ER.
A C-130 is preparing to drop bouys to map the current in the debris field. Still do not know if it is debris from the 777. A freightor will be on site in about 8 hours.
Was evacuated from a condo in Kona when that one hit. Sent us to Walmart on Henry Street. Thank God. It was the only two names I could pronounce to ask for directions
One problem runs into a whole bunch of problems one after the other.
