I remember waiting inside the living room when after a while the door opened. In walked the biggest human being I had ever seen in my life. Now this was the early sixties, and football players got a lot bigger in subsequent years. But the memory of Jim Temp walking through that door (and taking up most of the door space) still sticks in my memory after all these years

one of my wife's girl friends married a member of the Houston Oilers....we attended the wedding and reception.....there were people there that had to duck a little to go through a nornal door, which they went through sideways....absolutely amazing!!!

I thought there was a shortage of lethal injection drugs.

Texas buys them by the carload, they have plenty left!!! If they should ever run out, anti-freeze works just as well.

“Realistically they learned that they were NEVER going to be that big or be able to play professionally, so their goals change to more realistic possibilities.”

That’s why they need to go to college, to get “educated” and spend all their time in the gym and the cafeteria getting bigger.

That's almost like the Blues Brothers offing Ray Charles...

All rap is about today is making people angry. It’s the most aggressive, angry, violent crap spewed out of people’s mouths, ever.

A big amen to that. When I first heard this junk, I thought: I give it six months, max. Was I ever wrong.

And to think, we once had popular music with real melodies and interesting arrangements. Oh, well. It's all in accord with the decline in the society.

Washington — A US man was executed Wednesday in the state of Texas for murdering a recording studio owner whose equipment he also stole, prison authorities said.

Ray Jasper, 33, who had spent the past 14 years on death row, was declared dead by lethal injection at 6:31 pm (0031 GMT Thursday) in Huntsville, a Texas prison spokesman said.

In his final words, Jasper thanked his supporters and urged his family to “please take care of each other”.

Thanks for that post. I was glad to see that they finally rid the Earth of that scum.

It’s a shame, though, that the electric chair and the gas chamber are no longer used. Those two exit means made the lowlifes suffer just a bit as they departed. The needle is much too kind.

...how they gushed over Hitler...

Check National Geographic from the 30's. A wildly enthusiastic article about Nazi Germany. I believe the author ended up working in the Nazi propaganda department and the Brits tried him for treason after the war. Douglas Chandler. Feb 1937.
