We brought this all upon ourselves, My FRiend. How you ask? Well, to begin with, we were led to believe that , under the guise of city councils, zoning boards, homeowner associations, etal. we could control the "other guy". What was not said was, to the "other guy" you[genetically speaking] are the "other guy". The end result was that "you" have no rights. Only the rich and powerful now have rights. "You" now have privileges, granted at the whim of said organizations mentioned above.

The same holds true law enforcement wise. The "We got to get tough with these criminals" has evolved to the point that, in the view of the police, there are now two classes of criminals: Those we have caught and those we haven't caught yet.
