I suppose it is possible we will never know.
That's my personal theory and wish to spite the theory mongers.
If the plane was hijacked for a purpose, its reason will be known soon enough with emphasis placed on the word “soon”.
One cannot hide the plane for long. Plenty of satellites are looking for it right now.
