Homicide investigators are gathering evidence after a father shoots and kills a teenage boy he found in his daughter's bedroom.

A spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff's office said Deputy constables from pct 4 responded to a 911 call around 2:20 a.m. about a shooting in the Bridgestone Lake Subdivision in Northwest Harris County.

I’ve looked at a dead kid on the ground my Soldiers just shot, so I’m familiar with the scene. While he actually did deserve it, I managed not to do a happy dance over his corpse.

I agree that given the information this guy had at the time, he made a reasonable decision (assuming the facts are correct). That doesn’t excuse the daughter’s culpability in the slightest, yet many here think it does because....she’s female, I guess.

What's to discuss? You've shown yourself to be void of understanding regarding the difference between rights and laws.

Looks like Boogie was sleeping when they had the class on "peasant law"...

you will see my comments do not excuse her. she is a big part of the reason that kid is dead. the kid himself is the other big part of the reason.

I don't have much tolerance for fools who think that our rights come from gov't.

“I don’t have much tolerance for fools who think that our rights come from gov’t.”

So you’re going to continue on displaying your ignorance, even after it was pointed out to you?

Perhaps this will clue you in to what you are missing:

“Natural rights (also called moral rights or inalienable rights) are rights which are not contingent upon the laws, customs, or beliefs of a particular society or polity.

In contrast, legal rights (sometimes also called civil rights or statutory rights) are rights conveyed by a particular polity, codified into legal statutes by some form of legislature, and as such are contingent upon local laws, customs, or beliefs.”

So far it looks like the chips are falling in the father's favor.

Charges unlikely for Houston dad accused of shooting daughter’s boyfriend, prosecutor says

http://www.chron.com/neighborhood/spring/news/article/Grand-jury-to-consider-dad-s-fatal-shooting-of-5316259.php

A news release from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said officers are preparing
a case that will be presented to the grand jury.

It is not uncommon in Harris County for grand jurors to decide if a crime was
committed in fatal shootings that may have self-defense claims or other legal issues.
