Despots (and terrorists) prey on the perception of weakness. Obama exudes weakness and has deliberately walked away from the leadership table.

China taking Taiwan
Iran attacking Israel
N.Korea attacking S.Korea
I said, when Obama was elected, that the US is at risk, but who is REALLY at risk is our “colonies*” that depend on us for protection from agressive neighbors. e.g. Taiwan, Israel, S. Korea. The exact list you mentioned.
*In an “historical” sense that is kinda what they are.
