plane rolls inverted

I remember one of the self-overrated Kennedies flying upside down in the haze before diving into the ocean, but can that happen in a jumbo? Isn't there some sort of automatic thing to prevent that?

i agree several circumstances or events would have to take place, but yes it could happen. More likely what we call "unusual attitude", nose down 60 degree bank or any other combination. ,

After the Air France crash, pilots are now being trained to recover.

But if these sherlocks are situationally lost, its mostly panic in the cockpit

didn’t the Air Alaska jet that crashed about ten years ago invert due to a bolt/jackscrew malfunction??
