Barack Obama picked far left 36 year-old organizer Vivek Murthy as the next Surgeon General.
Not for his medical expertise but for his activism.
Vivek was the co-founder and president of Doctors for America, which began as Doctors for Obama in 2008.
Vivek also wants doctors to ask patients, including children, if there are any firearms in their home. This would be included on their file that would be shared with several government agencies under Obamacare. Investors Business Daily reported:

The government takeover of medical care will make it easier for the fascists to tell doctors what to do.
I do not answer intrusive questions about race, language, ethnicity, personal posessions or sex.
I’d like to see a president and congress get together and eliminate agencies and jobs by the gross. But, giving those jobs away is part of their power. Whether it’s surgeon general or ambassador to China, they get handed out by politics. (Joe Kennedy, an ardent pro Nazi was ambassador to England. Churchill cabled FDR that if he wasn’t replaced Churchill would order him killed.)
The director of America’s border (a fifty-foot wide corridor running thousand’s of miles) has NEVER been in his office in DC. The job paid a couple hundred thousand 8 years ago. No telling what it pays now. Each president has given it to a supporter.
Bump that!!
Refusal to answer or a defensive answer such as "That's nobody's business" will probably just go down as a Yes. Or perhaps "Yes - combative response". This is time to listen to Nancy Reagan - "Just say no". The first inclination any stranger will have that I own guns is when they see the fire coming out of the barrel.
I suspect that refusal to answer will also go into the data base and be inferred that you have guns and/or are conservative. A better answer is to lie, but many people are going to have an ethical problem with that approach.
“No Doc, but the guillotine at my front door is in the high position!”
Is there a gun in the house?
“A” gun, no.
Tell the good doctor to go track himself, if he asks the question.
ACT NOW: Tell your Senator we need a Surgeon General, not an anti-gun fanatic...

I just read that Murthy was born in the U.K. No wonder he is so rabidly against guns. Why can’t we have a U.S.-born Surgeon General?
“No, they’re dangerous! But I do have cars, knives, a swimming pool, baseball bats, a trampoline, a chain saw, gasoline and matches.”
Doc: “Do you have firearms?”
Me:”No. My arms are not on fire, but I have a hemorrhoid that is burning like an acetylene torch with the O2 on full.”
“Guns? What guns?”
My response - I have plenty of guns. Come take them from me!!!
First of all I have no guns, and if I ever did, it’s none of their business.
Hmm...last time I was asked that question was by a nurse while being admitted to a hospital. It went, “Do you have any guns?” “Wha?” “I mean on you. We have a safe.” I love Idaho.
Do you tell your kids to lie “no guns in our home” or do you tell your kids to lie “sure, Daddy keeps his 12 gauge AK-47 fully-automatic pump action Glock assault rifles right next to the flame thrower and the thermonuclear weapons”?
You might be surprised to know that the doc likely entered ‘yes’ to any response other than a definite ‘no’.
Particularly pediatricians. I live in a deep dark red state and our pedi (who grew up and was educated here) still wanted to know this 8 years ago when we visited her with our oldest. She grew up with my hubby, has known him for years, so automatically entered ‘yes’ when she asked that question. And laughed.
Beware the MD you ‘think’ you know. They’ll sell you out in a heartbeat. They have pensions, car notes and their kids private school tuition to pay. They’re not going to endanger any of that for YOUR 2nd amendment rights by and large.
You’re not under oath, so just answer NO. Leaving the question blank or saying none of your business will arouse more suspicion.
If you really want medical privacy, go to an independent doctor that does not use electronic medical records and pay in cash.
You’d be crazy to go to a psychologist or psychiatrist at a hospital owned or big medical clinic if you need those sorts of services. But, that of course begs the question.
Thanks. Email sent to Bill “Squints” Nelson.
Lie.
After all, that’s the standard liberal response.
I give thanks to libs...they’ve relieved me of any guilt about lying to my gubmit about anything.
Libs beware, however, following CW-II, the guillotine will not lie and its ire will be directed at you.
