RE; Did those foreign countries make the sacrifices that our fore fathers did?

Let’s take Israel as one example... I would have to say their fathers fought to establish their country ( against all odds ).

RE: Did they spill blood and write “guarantees” that ours did to provide us this country and freedoms?

Again in the case of Israel, they are more free than any of the surrounding countries that want to attack and destroy her. In fact, Arabs are citizens in Israel and are elected to parliament. Gay rights are recognized.

RE: Did those countries provide opportunities that this country didn’t?

In the case of Israel it did not in the past. But if you see their economy today, that’s changing.

Look, I am not saying that America is not a country blessed with a great heritage.... but many countries can make a similar argument you just made.

We don’t condemn the Jews who left Israel to become American as cowards and betrayers of Israel.

The counter to the above argument would be this — What if America has CHANGED into a country that her forefathers did not envision it to be?

What if instead of protecting her citizen’s rights, the government actually uses its powers to coerce citizens to cough up their money for things they don’t believe in (funding the killing of babies, forcing people to buy healthcare, forcing devout Christians to celebrate the gay lifestyle, etc. )

A valid argument would be — if you had the spirit of the American pioneers, you would be fighting to keep your rights instead of giving up and running away.

Unfortunately, many Americans have lost that spirit. Nearly half of our citizens depend in some form of government aid already ( see Mitt Romney’s 47% ).

Perhaps these people have given up too soon...

Non-Jewish Americans were spilling blood in Israel for decades after its independence. Ask any Vietnam fighter pilot if he was contacted by the Israelis.
