Democrats took to the Senate floor Monday night to talk about global warming and planned not to let up until morning.
At least 28 senators were expected to participate in the dusk-to-dawn event, which was led off by the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada.
Several Democrats who face tough reelection fights in the fall planned to skip it. Democratic leaders have no plans to bring a climate bill to the Senate floor this year, so the speeches were about little more than theatrics.

On this happy note, I think I am going to bed.
Global warming ping
Longer version of the article, in case anyone cares:

So will I, but I will leave the lights on all night in their honor.
If they were to be fined for all the Carbon Dioxide, Methane (ass gas), Hydrogen/ammonia (pee), and feces fumes that they are going to let out into the air, that would pay down the public debt by a couple million dollars.
Let’s face it. The Democrats are so full of crap that there isn’t a waste treatment plant big enough to handle all of it, yet they expect the American people to do so.
Look at the Democrats as a simple scientific equation:
Crap in, crap out!
I hope someone lights a match during the all night bullshit session. It could be the only time in mankind’s history that a building was launched into orbit without a rocket.
Hey, if there are enough Democrats at this gabfest, and they got launched into orbit, they could actually be Pres. Bush’s 1,000 points of light. I’d pay to see that.
Oh, where is Guy Fawkes now that we need him?
“V”
What makes this funny is that the Dems already control the Senate. Not just the legislative body, but all the committees. They can bring any bill they wish to the floor without opposition, and pass it. And yet, this “session” is being held to demand action on “climate change”. The Senate Dems have no legislation proposals they want passed, and there are no bills being bottlenecked by Senate Republicans, or by the House or Executive Branch. This “session” therefore is utterly meaningless, and is (apparently) protesting their own lack of action in generating and passing any legislation on the matter.
The movie version will be called Sleepless in Washington.
One big circle j@&$ and navel gazing session. In the meantime serious problems get no attention.
This should have been a live thread.
I regret to predict that one night isn't going to raise their IQ more than a couple of points.
Up to around 75.
Charge them all big $$ for the “carbon offsets” they will need to offset the CO2 they are expelling during this charade!
Waste of time....and, no one with half a brain is watching!!!
The economy is in the crapper and these clowns are debating global warming over a sleepover?
Is Rod Serling standing next to me?
For some of them, the movie version should be “Sheepless in D.C.”.
When Barney Frank said, “I’d walk a mile for a Camel, all the camels were nervous”.
But they are there in spirit.
I believe the world is going through a, “Trans-environmental, Cis-weather, Climo-reassignment conversion.”
Who are we to judge? Shouldn’t we accept the world as it is? The libs are terraphobes who can’t accept the precession of the earth and will force a left tilt on Gaia at any cost!
I so enjoy being lectured to about my carbon foot print by millionaires in $1,500 suits that I pay to fly home every weekend in private jets.
Anyone have the guts to ask these fools how much leaving the lights on overnight has raised the carbon footprint?
Crap. We will have to relive this garbage for the next three days on all of the news channels.
Yawn.....
Is this the most important thing they can work on?
“GLOBAL WARMING IS INDEED about to be thrust upon the world when/if a pending nuclear war in the Ukraine erupts or Iran accidentally pushed one of their red buttons.
Our “leaders” have lost all sense of direction.
