NEW YORK (AP) In his most extensive comments about the 2012 Connecticut school massacre, the father of gunman Adam Lanza describes his struggle to comprehend what his son did an act that "couldn't get any more evil" and how he now wishes that his son had never been born.
Peter Lanza also told The New Yorker magazine in a series of interviews last fall that he believes Adam would have killed him, too, if he had the chance. And he often contemplates what he could have done differently in his relationship with Adam, although he believes the killings couldn't have been predicted.
"Any variation on what I did and how my relationship was had to be good, because no outcome could be worse," Peter Lanza told the magazine in an article dated March 17. "You can't get any more evil. ... How much do I beat up on myself about the fact that he's my son? A lot."

LOL
Were you around the evil, dad?
MODERN CULTURE? So soon we forget.Bingo. You are dead on target. The only reason we didn't hear about this stuff before is because we didn't have the tools to learn about it. I read this study where research showed that children disappeared at an awful rate back in the pre-1950s, but because it was all small town no one linked up the data and put together the numbers. It's as old as the hills.
Seems to me she should have jumped on doing this much earlier, when he was just a child. I can’t believe she didn’t see this coming. Ignored it, deluded herself, sure. But not see it at all? No way.
I cant imagine how horrible it must be to be the parent of a mass murderer.I feel sorry for him. It must weigh on him heavily.
As for the divorce, mother had apparently decided they were just picking on her baby and even though she was afraid of him, she absolutely refused outside help and that was one of the things that led to the divorce (according to press reports at the time). I think hes being very gentlemanly in not mentioning this.Indeed he is. He was probably shut all the way out of any ability to help Adam; vengeful divorced parents will do that. And it's obvious Mrs Lanza was not all quite there either. All in all, it's just a sad tale.
Looks like a bad school ID photo to me. If we start shooting people because they look crazy in an ID photo, we all could be in trouble.
