In any case, I am seeing a pattern of covering foreign affairs here to day, as I see a lot of former cold warriors. And it’s good to have Paul and Cruz on. Maybe little Georgie will get a “Cruz” missile up his fat behind!

As far as I am concerned the highlight of the week at the annual C-Pac convention was Sarah Palin’s speech last night.
We had a live thread that followed the speech and there was not a dry eye to be found among the participants. I will be reviewing it over and over. Sarah was sheer dynamite and showed what true patriotism is all about. Wonderful speech.

For many of us we saw much of Ronald Reagan last night in Palin’s speech. It was marvelous.

TW is updating news regarding the Malaysian plane.
Apparently, not much new information has come over night.
2 [possibly 4, per other threads] boarded via stolen passports.
Weather was not an issue. Thus, the consensus seems to be catastrophic mechanical failure or terrorism [explosion or possible suicide-by-pilot-or-someone-in-cockpit].
Still no debris pattern, although Vietnam military/air force reported a lengthy oil slick.

Someone posted in one of the related threads that this kind of plane does an automatic ping to towers. That ping and all contact apparently stopped about 50 minutes into the flight. There are indications that the plane continued flying for another hour. A pilot in a different plane said he had momentary contact with the co-pilot at about the 2-hours-in-flight mark.
Soon after the plane disappeared, someone Tweeted that it landed in southern Vietnam. That apparently turned out to be false.
