“The number of natives with no more than high school education (18 to 65) not working is 4.9 million larger in 2013 than in 2000”

Any native in America without a HS education is likely to end up on welfare because they already proved they lack the ambition to get a HS diploma.

“But African-Americans who graduated from high-school did little better. Their 12-month unemployment rate is 26 percent.”

Black unemployment rates for 20 and older runs 13.5% for men and 9.6 for women. Since both have black skin, if it is blackness that is the problem, why do black men have 40% greater unemployment than black women?

And unless blacks are turning out incredible numbers of college grads, the black unemployment rate is NOT 26% for High School grads.

So what do you with this human debris, put them on welfare? And why are we bringing in annually hundreds of thousands of legal permanent immigrants who lack a HS degree?

You conveniently don't address the other statistics, i.e., the number with some college not working is up 6.8 million over this time period, and the number with at least a bachelor's degree not working is up 3.8 million.

Are they also lacking ambition?

Black unemployment rates for 20 and older runs 13.5% for men and 9.6 for women. Since both have black skin, if it is blackness that is the problem, why do black men have 40% greater unemployment than black women?

First, these are U-3 rates (not seasonally adjusted.) The U-3 unemployment rates for blacks of both sexes (age 16-19) is 31.5%. I am sure this includes some HS graduates, i.e., you graduate HS at 17 or 18 normally. And black males would be worse than black females.

When you look at the U-6 ratesit is 13.1% for all workers (not seasonally adjusted.)

Black unemployment rate is consistently twice that of whites

Black females have higher education levels than black males and they have a lower participation rate in the workforce. Immigrants are competing more for jobs held by black males since the majority of immigrants are males, especially illegal aliens.

And unless blacks are turning out incredible numbers of college grads, the black unemployment rate is NOT 26% for High School grads.

I didn't make the number up. Check it out yourself

I also recommend you look at this PBS interview with Dr. Andrew Sum, a renowed expert on youth employment in the US.

And unless blacks are turning out incredible numbers of college grads, the black unemployment rate is NOT 26% for High School grads.

Senate Report: Greater educational attainment alone cannot solve the youth unemployment crisis. Even with high levels of education, young minority workers not enrolled in school have distressingly high rates of unemployment. In April [2010,] the unemployment rate for young black high school graduates (16 to 24 years old )not enrolled in school was 34.9 percent, compared to 24.6 percent for all young high school graduates not in school. For young black college graduates, the unemployment rate of 15.8 percent was almost double the overall unemployment rate for all young college graduate s. While lower than the unemployment rate of 60.0 percent for young black workers with no high school diploma, unemployment rates of 34.9 percent and 15.8 percent are unacceptably high.

A new study shows a disheartening reality for African-Americans without a high school diploma. According to an online analysis of unemployment data by Remapping Debate, more than half of all male African-American high school dropouts are unemployed.

While still staggeringly high, the unemployment rate for Blacks who graduated from high school is almost half that of high school dropouts, at 26 percent. That number is almost four times the national average.

“This is an emergency, this is a catastrophe [but Washington is] not rating it as a catastrophe,” said the site’s editor, Craig Gurian, told The Daily Caller.
