If we could convince the AGWers that DST causes global warming because the Sun stays up longer before it has to go to bed I think we could get rid of it in no time at all!!!

Nobody is making the case that Daylight Savings time increases the amount of daylight. Instead, we are talking about "shifting" the daylight from the early morning hours (when most people are still sleeping or getting ready for work/school) to the early evening hours when many people are engaging in recreational activities.
I would rather have it dark at 7a.m. in exchange for it being daylight at 7p.m., when I am more likely to be out in my yard, taking the dog for a walk, or sitting at a beach.

So true! The tilt of the earth and position of the sun cannot be changed - seasons change and so do sunrise/sunset times. It gets darker in the winter earlier!! Why don't we legislate that it is ALWAYS SUMMER? Makes about as much sense!
