Bloomberg columnist Jeffrey Goldberg minced few words in discussing the interview that President Barack Obama gave him on the eve of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's latest visit to Washington.
Speaking with Charlie Rose, Goldberg equated Obama's threat to stop supporting Israel in international forums to the talk of a mafia don. Obama told Goldberg, that if Israel doesn't cut a deal with the Palestinians soon, "our ability to manage the international fallout is going to be limited." He added, "And that has consequences."
That statement, Goldberg noted, was a "veiled threat" and "almost up there with, 'Nice little Jewish state you've got there. Hate to see something happen to it.'"
Goldberg saw the interview as Obama's way of showing that he is beginning to abandon the pretense of supporting Israel, now that he no loinger faces reelection. In Goldberg's words, "It's not that the gloves are coming off. It's more that the mask of diplomatic language is coming off a little bit."

The same is apparently the case with joint US-Israeli missile defense programs. Wednesday it was reported that the administration has slashed funding of those programs by two-thirds for the 2015 fiscal year.

Then there are the low-level bureaucratic sanctions that Obama began enacting against Israel last year. These involve State Department activities that are not subject to easy Congressional oversight.

The so-called American Jewish community does not give a hoot for the fate of Israel. They are largely liberal and pity the poor downtrodden “Palestinian” rather than promote the Jewish state concept.
American Christians seem to more “get it”. They believe the Holy Land is better protected and made available by a Jewish State, open to all religions, rather than yet another medieval Islamic republic in the already Islam-packed middle east.

So, I’m sitting in the lunchroom watching news of the Russian invasion of Crimea and saw so many parallels that it suddenly hit me: Russia is Nazi Germany and Crimea is Austria.
The world is seeing a complete leadership vacuum in the US and our bowing out of being the “world’s police force” has left the world a true anarchy. And despots all over the world know they have until January 20, 2017 to make their move while the paper tiger sleeps.
And all that that implies for us in the next three years. And no, I would not worry about Israel.

Laughable threat. Israel deals with “international fallout” on a daily basis.
This guy NEVER learns from his mistakes because, in his mind, he never makes any. He does not know people. He does not know good and evil. That he fails to see the evil in the “Palestinians” is baffling.

I hope she’s right, but I’m almost sure she’s wrong. Obama is either a fluke or the end of a fairly long process. If it’s a process, I assure you the ones who started this have thought of the endgame.

America no longer international (and domestic) giant under Obama's diplomacy, international relationships and domestic policies.
America is more like Obama, smoking dope with the Choom Gang, with no idea what he has done to US reputation internationally.
Or, does he know exactly what he is doing?! With his "flexibility" and all.
I am not an American Jew. Just an Evangelical who believes God gave the land to the Jews.
I do too, bible says it will be taken away. America not standing with Israel brings that prophecy closer to reality.
But that doesn’t change the fact that Jews break Democratic when voting. just doesn’t make a bit of damned sense.

Vladimir Putin isn’t the only one who deserves to be compared to Hitler these days.
It’s true that Putin’s takeover of the Crimea corresponds to Hitler’s annexation of Czechoslovakia. However, another Hitlerian action — his obsessive prioritizing of killing Jews over winning the German war effort — corresponds to Obama’s current obsessive prioritizing of his anti-Israel policies over carrying out America’s foreign policy in America’s interest.
Obama’s decision to unilaterally lift sanctions on Israel’s arch-enemy Iran has resulted in Iran’s using its multi-billion-dollar post-sanctions windfall to 1) arm another Israeli arch-enemy, Hamas, with rockets to aim at Israeli civilians and 2)allow the Iranians to go full speed ahead with their nuclear program — which hurts Israel but is also seriously detrimental to U.S. interests.
In addition, John Kerry’s obsession with threatening Israel if it doesn’t agree to give up some of its territory has kept him too preoccupied to attend to much more serious matters, for example, Vladimir Putin and his adventures in dominating Syria and the Middle East and now the Ukraine and Central Europe — actions which are definitely contrary to U.S. interests.
If Obama wants to improve America’s standing in the world — now almost at rock bottom — he must stop focusing obsessively on bringing about his version of the final solution to the Jewish problem by working with Israel’s enemies to destroy that country, and instead focus on repairing the damage he’s caused to America’s interests around the world.
And even if there was no religious aspect to it, if the people of a nation conquered the previous destructive possessors of a land, but then, due to their own evils, lost it to a succession of other nations;
but which people uniquely retained a distinct identity for ovr 2k years, and suffered great persecution and even attempted annihilation, but ended up being given a portion of it back by the last possessor of the land (due to the previous possessor siding with a nation that sought to destroy those people;
and none of the original inhabitants of the land existed as a distinct people or nation, nor did any people exists within the area at issue as a state, nor was Jerusalem any capital;
and the squatters (people that lived in a number of countries, with millions of square miles) that did live there (as a result of religious conquests) were offered a state with comparable land within that land, but refused to do accept it in their ethic intolerance of the other people, and instead launched numerous wars against that people, but who even gave back over 90% of the land they conquered in just one war;
then why should the people who were of the last nation to inhabit that land without any prior nations before them being able to claim it now (Canaanites), have to accommodate a nation bent on their destruction, yet if the Arabs had accepted the 1947 UN resolution, then not a single Palestinian would have become a refugee - which most other Arab states refuse citizenship to as a people - and an independent Arab state would now exist beside Israel?
A long question for a long problem, which the Lord shall one day settle when all Israel turns to their Messiah, as foretold . Meanwhile, although Israel is the victim here, it is a form of chastisement, with the Palestinians being like the remaining nations Israel did not drive out, which were left as thorns in the side of Israel. (Judges 2:2,3; 3:1)
Seriously, if I’m Netanyahu what would I prefer... some ignorant, limp-wristed, clueless dumba$$ stating he’s going to support me or refuses to support me? What’s the diff? His words, much like his mindless “actions”, mean absolutely nothing.
