I was just like you, I had to have sugar in my coffee. Then I found Splenda. It is the only artificial sweetener I like. Tastes like sugar to me. I bought a Sodastream because they make diet mixes that use Splenda, whereas diet coke and pepsi are made with Nutrasweet.
My wife developed horrible diarea from Splenda so be careful. Our Sodastream goes unused because all their stuff has Splenda
Try drinking it black—and you’ll never want sweetener again.
