All well and good, but I despair that issues and policy debates will not matter much in future elections. Rather, it increasingly appears that it might all come down to numbers; the RATS have cobbled together a coalition of disparate interest groups who have their hands out for the few crumbs which their elite betters dispense to them - - and all they need do in return is to vote RAT.
Conservative principles or GOP principles? Because the latter principles are basically “Get re-elected however you can”.
