I’m saying that, in political election terms, a win of 20 percentage points over the entire field of challengers qualifies as a legitimate landslide

Surely you don’t seriously believe that all votes for other candidates were votes against Cornyn. Those other candidates had friends and supporters and issues that drew support. Happens in every election, and it’s really a good thing. Much of the Stockman vote probably was anti-Cornyn, because I can’t believe anyone would vote for him otherwise.

Cornyn is returning to the Senate. Look at the bright side for Texas: he votes with you way more than against you, and he has seniority and power, unlike an incoming freshman senator.

Instead of handwringing over Cornyn, we need to put our energy into derailing Wendy Davis. Best thing for Texas in the next few years will be a strong governor and attorney general to fight Washington.

No, he doesn't. He most often votes against what I want.

And the governor's race is BS. Texas has the weakest governor of all states, on purpose. There is no way Abbott loses that race.

And he won by less than 10% over the entire field of challengers.
