My father, a Korean War vet, said the Chinese would throw wave after wave to take a hill. The only thing that would save your units life was getting ammo to the machine gunners carried in buckets like water to a fire. It was a mass flow problem of lead vs. human flesh.

That was then. Now, every dead Chinese soldier will have been the ONLY child of some Chinese couple. How long can the Chinese leadership do that before parents, with nothing left to lose, rise up in rebellion?

That policy has recently been repealed, to the best of my knowledge.
