Yayyyy! Another Texas thread!
Does anyone think Wendy Davis seriously has a chance of becoming Governor of Texas or is it a shoe-in for Greg Abbott?
I early voted in small central TX county last week.
During my 15 minutes there, not one single voter stepped to the democRAT table. All voters went to the republican side.
The old rat gals at the criminal table looked like they had been sucking on lemons....
I’ll be watching the returns come in this evening if I can find a good “real-time” results link.
I hope your primary results are a precursor for great things to come in 2014.
In case you wonder what they mean by "the tide":
Went and voted against Medina, Cornyn, Patrick, Dewhurst..
Hope Sessions and Cornyn get shown the door.
And I SINCERELY HOPE ANOTHER DAMN BUSH doesn’t get elected - for ANYTHING. They are a passel of counterfit Conservatives, not the real thing.
I’ll be voting in a few hours. Can’t wait to help flush Cornyn into the nether regions.
Man!! I am so anxious to see the polling numbers start coming in!
Having said that, I wanted to post this again. It's basically a rehash of what we did in the 80's...
How much has our military been weakened since Reagan? We know the Leftists have completely jacked the economy since Reagan. Looks to me like before we're able to deal effectively with Russia and any other aggressors in the future, we've got to do what the American people and Reagan did in the 80's - go after the bad guys and fix things at home first, then go after the bad guys elsewhere:
1) oust the current regime in Washington DC
2) get the economy back on right footing by HUGE CUTS IN GOVERNMENT AND TAXES and letting the free market do what it does best: CREATE WEALTH,
3) Build the military back up once again to the world's strongest (weakness not strength invites war),
4) take down the NSA and other threats to American citizens
5) build up our intelligence community to make it first rate
Whatever aggressor-country hotspots including the Ukraine are relevant after 1-5 is done...
6) with good and verified intelligence, we should covertly work with the forces of freedom in the threatened country. In the case of the Ukraine if its still relevant, discern whether eastern Ukraine wants to join Russia and whether western Ukraine does not,
7) THEN, with actual and overwhelming force at our disposal, we should condemn the aggressor (Russia in this case) for threatening to invade the threatened country (Ukraine in this case) and move forces into the area with full intention of defending those that want to remain free,
8) we should seek diplomacy with the aggressor nation on the basis of our strength not weakness and any treaties or agreements should be based on trust but verify.
Note: We should NOT do what Bush did and start invading countries to force them to become democratic. That is NOT what America is here for. But we ARE here to help ourselves and others defend freedom against unwanted aggression and oppression.
“She has energized Texas Democrats, who haven’t won a statewide race in 20 years but insist the tide is turning....”
LOL, yeah like Texans will start loving gun confiscation and more taxes
2 things we need to result
1. Force Cornyn to runoff
2. no more Bushies
I did my duty.
The wife and I both went for all the Tea Party endorsed candidates.
The tweets (make sure you have “all” clicked):

Nothing interesting yet but twitter has been informative early in elections IMO.
State Rep District 92 here.
one vote for Strickland.
anybody else?
Our county consolidates Republican voters to one polling place. It was very busy. The Democrats have 10 precincts and most of the county contests are the reason. However, I was so surprised and happy that our County Treasurer switched to Republican and she is unopposed. I told her I was happy to vote for her and she thanked me, said she felt a little disloyal but that she couldn’t tolerate the Democrat direction anymore and that it was coming through to things she is told in her office. There are two county office holders with R beside their names. That is a start but it has been much longer coming than I thought.
Obviously, this posted article was written from a leftist perspective. What else would you expect from the Boston Globe?
Not much discussion here about the GOP Senate primary, and whether Cornym can be held under 50% of the vote so that he would face a run-off.
Voted for Abbott for Gov., Dan Patrick for Lt. Gov, Ken Paxton for Atty Gen., ignored the local races, and voted to repeal Obamacare, for Open-Carry, and Religious freedom.
