What, me worry? seems to be the operating philosophy of President Obama as a serious crisis brews in Eastern Europe. Daniel Halper reports an almost unbelievable level of Obama nonchalance toward his national security responsibilities in the Weekly Standard:
A White House official emailed some reporters to say that President Obama's team met today to discuss the ongoing situation on Ukraine. It appears President Obama did not attend."The President's national security team met today to receive an update on the situation in Ukraine and discuss potential policy options. We will provide further updates later this afternoon," reads the full statement.
But:
According to Time magazine's Zeke Miller, Obama skipped the meeting. "Obama did not attend the meeting, but WH official says he has been briefed by Susan Rice and his national security team," says Miller.

Maybe the administration is awaiting the Oscar presentations before selecting a video that they can claim provoked the Ruskies into this action.
The only thing left after that is to then jail whoever is responsible for the film.
Crisis over.
Maybe he jumped into his “Way Back” machine to aks Ronald Reagan what he would do.
It’s been said that Obama does nothing right.
I think him skipping this meeting proves that wrong.
The less involved he is, the better off we may be.
He’s scarred to death of being goaded to any form of action. He’s been furnished with transcripts. But he’s afraid of those too.
Little islamist coward.
He’s probably upstairs doing his Oscars picks.
He’s probably upstairs doing his March Madness brackets.
Good! Maybe something constructive got done for once.
Probably off re-watching “House of Cards” and thinking Frank Underwood has got a better plan.
He must have been busy filling out his brackets for the hoops tournament.
Why show up when everything is going as planed. The goal
is to get Russian military bases established in Cuba and
Venezuela. To the biggest jackass to ever hold public
office, it would only be fair if we let Russia and China
have military bases in this hemisphere just like we have
abroad. Then we can be shown our place in the world.
Obama is truly an enemy of the United States.
Skipped? Is that a reference to him being light in the loafers?
when the crap hits the fan ,Obama can claim he knows nothing about it
Hasn’t it been 6 weeks or so since his last vacation?
The guy needs to head out for some r&r.
I couldn’t IMAGINE the trouble we would be in if 0bama were facing the same situation in the world as Roosevelt during the late 30s/early 40s. We would be in DEEP trouble! We would have responded to Pearl Harbor with a strongly worded press release, while pulling all of our forces out from the Pacific, and the Axis powers would have taken over the world. The Russians would have hung on for a few years, putting up a good fight, but would have eventually collapsed to being attacked by the Germans/Italians from one front and the Japanese from the other - ending with Hitler dropping the A Bomb on major Russian Cities.
This is how electing someone like 0bama can be a HISTORICALLY CATASTROPHIC mistake!
The smartest most brilliant man ever to occupy the oval office doesn’t need to be briefed on situations of international importance....there is nothing he could learn from these mere mortals....
He already threatened Putin by letting the world G8 summit know he will not grace their presence with his magnificence..
The man is a egomaniac....
Obama’s foreign policy is gay...quite literally.
He’s probably upstairs scouring youtube for anti-Putin videos.
“He skips the meetings because he takes marching orders from his handlers. “

I agree. When I told my liberal kids that a few years ago they were incensed.
I call him The Puppet.
