Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev: Russia is ready to develop ties with Ukraine but not with those who seized power through bloodshed - RIA via @Reuters
....” Russia is ready to develop ties with Ukraine but not with those who seized power through bloodshed”...
If Chimea doesn’t go to Russia, Putin will work with a Gov. that represents ALL the people, currently it does not as it has no representation of the eastern Russian speaking areas.
Putin does not want Ukraine to go Nato....because if it does it protects Ukraine from any Russian authority there as do all those nations now part of Nato. He’s not going to have Nato on his doorstep, which for him is the West.
Therefore Putin will deal, as before, for his bases and the guarantees the oil will flow.
