Oh great
Paul Ryan cut their bennies and “Dems” tried to give it back but were “blocked”
wonderful
Berni Sanders got a 1.5 Billion Youth Jobs act in exchange for helping the Chamber of Commerce import 20 million foreign workers.
Ted Cruz just said “go to heck” to the vets. What is going on with these so called Republicans. Sheesh it used to be that Republicans were on the side of the military. Now it is the Democrats. Definite Twilight Zone.
The Military has been turned into just another social program
Re: “The Military has been turned into just another social program”
Agree — very poorly written bill and deserved to be voted down. Gym memberships for overweight vets, just to name one ridiculous expense —
Extra medical benefits for injuries NOT incurred during combat???? Sounds more like another giveaway program to me. I’ve known a number of people who joined the military for the benes, then screamed bloody murder when they actually had to DO something while there.
Not dissimilar to those joining police and fire departments for the benefits, retiring after 20 years for a generous pension; then starting new careers. Don’t believe me? I’ve got plenty of stories and it’s the truth. Public service in recent decades has become a joke.
