78,000 Wind turbines? What a beautiful picture? And they don’t like the sight of drill rigs WAAAAAAY out in the distance on a clear day?

I doubt this would ever pass where Liberals vacation.

Hmmmmmm.......Wind turbines vs A Hurricane. This'll be short and brutal.

After watching a causeway get folded up like an accordion as a result of Katrina......a few piddly wind turbines would just blow around and cause more damage.

78,000 Wind turbines? spread across a wide swath of Louisiana coastline

And they don’t like the sight of drill rigs WAAAAAAY out in the distance on a clear day?

This is Louisiana. The oil & gas platforms are all over the area. They like jobs and cash flow.

the largest wind farm in the world is in Texas. It has 421 wind turbines spread out over 47,000 acres

- See more at: http://www.chacha.com/question/how-many-wind-turbines-total-are-there-in-the-united-states#sthash.TQsmnsYS.dpuf

If 400 turbines require about 110 acres each then 78,000 X 110 = 8.6 Million Acres = 13,400 square miles.

There are 52,000 sq miles in LA so it would require usage of 25% of the entire state just for the windmills...good luck with that.
