My personal belief is that using the best ammo in each, there isn’t a lot of difference between the 9mm, 40 S&W, and the .45 Auto.

I recently read a study of the results of various calibers, and there really wasn't much difference between those and even .38 specials when it came to stopping the bad guys. Below .38 did poorly, and .357 was similar to the others with the exception that it had much better one-shot stopping power.

The .357 magnum in it’s hottest loadings is a very powerful cartridge. The .357 Sig is supposed to be very close but I personally have never fired one.

It does sound like a good auto pistol cartridge tho.
