I think conservatives/TEA Party should have its own conventions months and months before the two parties do, to endorse conservative candidates for office. I mean before primaries even start.
I like that idea.
We could preeminent the Big Whigs.
Get a little fire going for our people, then they would listen.
Not that we need their approval anyway.
That is a great idea. And then try to get as many delegates that attend the TEA Party convention into both the Republican and Democrat conventions. Of course, getting into the anti-American modern day Democrat convention would be both hard and dangerous.
I wish we could step up and have a real party. I agree. They will slam us. We have one magic word we can use. That word is
SO?
We should explain Alinsky to the general public, and how the name calling we get is just a trick to keep us from having any influence. Calling us racist homophobes is one trick, to try and make us defend whether we quit beating our wives. And it’s a double trick because all the rest of the public falls for it like fools and avoids us! All a trick.
Let’s stand up to this political bullying like the brave passengers on flight 93. Let’s roll.
Yes, that is a good strategy. New York State’s Conservative Party has used that successfully. They hold their convention before the Republican state convention. Then the GOP has a choice: pick the Conservative candidate or have a split Republican vote and lose.
Of course New York has that system where someone can run on two different lines simultaneously, so it is a different logic that applies. Nationally, GOP couldn’t run same candidate as Tea Party. It’s a much bigger risk for Tea Party to pick a candidate. They could cause the best person to lose by doing that.
I don’t think the Tea Party has enough time to form a party that will be on the ballot in enough states to make a difference. So it would just be like a contest, not a real party selection. Then it could work like NY State: Pick our choice or be divided.
