Scrutiny from your own side is not necessarily such a bad thing.
Had the Democrats and, particularly, left leaning independents
scrutinized the current POTUS, the nation might now have better
leadership.

Sowell made a mistake with Cruz, but Sowell has been fighting liberalism effectively for longer than Cruz has been in politics. We cannot afford to throw him under the bus for one mistake.

I'm glad to see that. I've come to the sad conclusion that Dr. Sowell has a blind spot for Ted Cruz.

Sort of like Pat Buchanan who writes very analytical thoughtful articles unless the topic involves "Jooze." At that point, Buchanan is off into Cuckoo land and I skip the entire article.
