Both of you are relatively new here (he says, leaning on his cane), but the group of FReepers I fondly refer to as the Borscht Brigade came into their own during Clinton's bombing of Kosovo during the late 1990's. For obvious reasons, they found a sympathetic ear here. These guys are Russian revanchists, pure and simple. You just have to wait for an event such as this one to see it.
It's gotten to the point where I can guess the author of a comment before seeing who wrote it.
As the saying goes they haven’t forgotten anything old, and have not learned anything new. BTW, it goes for any old Eastern European commie, not just the Russian variety.
