The GOP has no one in the leadership who can articulate any benefit to free enterprise, the rule of law, sanctity of contracts, security of borders or any of the principles enunciated in the Declaration or the Constitution. They are not familiar with them, they do not believe them, they do not understand them. To the GOP leadership it is a foreign language. We cannot expect them [and most of us don’t] to be able to argue a case in a language they cannot speak.

Exactly. That and more precisely, there is NO leadership at all with the GOP establishment. Leadership implies having a vision, a way to get there and influencing others to follow to reach the objective. The GOP wants to join a losing philosophy of bending the democrat liberal planks to brand as their own, thereby granting itself perrenial status as an amorphous UNIPARTY feeding from the DC beltway trough. The GOP is DOA.

Of course, I was speaking of the formal Leadership of Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy and their toadies, along with McConnell, Cornyn and their stooges. Any actual leadership comes from outside those groups - Cruz, Lee, Sessions, Gowdy, and a few others.
