You must be unfamiliar with federal sentencing guideilines

Likewise...states are as a rule handing out sentences far longer than 20-50 years ago

And parole is disappearing

7 years to life for murder in Mississippi

This is why crime rates down...more folks locked up

Rand Paul did not say this is the most serious issue facing the country.....he said it was our biggest voting rights issue

You just attributed that falsehood for emphasis for your point of view

A not uncommon arguing tactic....but kind of like mild lying but thank the lord not a felony...yet

I think he thinks its morally right and might net some black votes

I dont care about that....not enough blacks to matter except maybe a few marginal states

I just think its right
