Lets play a game. Its called: Whos the Thug?
Its the day after Thanksgiving 2012, and four teenagers are sitting in a Dodge Durango outside a convenience store in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Durango is red, which is unimportant. The teenagers are black, which is important.
The teenagers are planning to try to pick up some girls later in the evening and have stopped for some gum so our breath would smell good, one will later testify and cigarettes. The teenagers are playing loud music in the Durango.
A car pulls up next to the Durango, parking very close to it. Inside is Michael Dunn, 45, a software developer, and his fiancée. Both are white. Dunns fiancée goes into the store while Dunn waits in the car.
The couple are coming from the wedding of Dunns son. They have Dunns 7-month-old dog with them. Dunn had two drinks at the wedding but is not buzzed, he will later say. He describes his mood as happy.
But the loud, throbbing music from the Durango upsets him. It is rattling his rearview mirror, he will later claim. The music, he will say, is ridiculously, obnoxiously loud thug music and rap crap.
Dunn does not change parking spaces or go inside the store to join his fiancée and escape the noise. Instead, he rolls down his window and asks the teenagers to turn down the music. They shut it off, and I was like, Thank you, Dunn later tells police....

Yes, I agree. For one thing Zimmerman was protecting his
neighborhood which was his neighborhood watch duty. Dunn
was in a store parking lot as were the teens. No question the
teens had a right to be there as did Dunn.
Most will agree the loud stupid music is way over the top.
It doesn’t rate capitol punishment, however?
You’re one of the few who could’ve actually gotten a carry permit.
My dad was corrections for decades.
He went to work every night with a Ruger .44 mag on his hip.
Oh damn.
I read the entire article before making my post. I would have voted guilty.
Government shutdown unleashes racism - Roger Simon
I agree. Trying to compare this with the Zimmerman case is a non-starter in my book. Zimmerman was attacked and had the wounds to prove it. Dunn was not, and went about his normal business as if nothing had happened. From my perspective, Dunn is guilty, and Zimmerman was not.

Question: If Ted Cruz and John Boehner were both on a sinking ship, who would be saved?
Harsh? Look around you at what is happening to America and you will see harsh. I am not talking about closed parks and monuments. I am talking about the funds cut to nearly 9 million mothers and young children for food, breastfeeding support and infant formula.
That is harsh. Making a war against babies is harsh. And for what? Because Cruz, Republican senator from Texas, has grown so drunk on the sound of his own voice and so besotted with illusions of his own grandeur that he believes halting government today will propel him into the White House tomorrow?
He must've seen too many History Channel and PBS documentaries about the Kennedy Klan.
Rifle-toting woman shoots, kills man outside gas station in southeast Houston (KHOU TV ^ | 22 July 2013 | staff report)
From within the thread... "Interesting. Video seems to show a man committing harassment and assault against a woman, then continuing to commit those crimes after she retrieved a rifle from the trunk of her car. Based on the video evidence presented in the press, I would characterize the woman as the victim of assault, and the man as the perpetrator thereof. The video appears to depict justified self-defense."
and...
"The dead man pulled a knife on the shooter, but according to his brother, he didnt want to hurt nobody. She may have pushed her luck in terms of the law by firing multiple shots once he was down, but I hope the police give her a break. She may not have known whether he was still a threat and about to get back up, and shes not a white Hispanic so there is no reason to prosecute her."
Both persons were black.
What is this permit of which you speak? ;)
No, but when people push and push. Sooner or later something bad happens.
